Fosters: Jogger recovering from hit-and-run. Accused driver’s attorney doing ‘own investigation.’

On Monday morning, Mat Lefebvre sat in his office at Lindt & Sprüngli in Stratham, the first time he has been back at work for the chocolate company since an alleged hit-and-run incident last fall left him with severe injuries.

“Everyone was so nice,” Lefebvre said. “There was a line of people waiting to talk with me. They were so welcoming. I am going to work a few days in the office and a few days at home, to make the transition easier. This is another milestone in a series of milestones that began with me being able to sit up in bed, then stand, walk and go through rehab.”

On Oct. 11, Lefebvre was jogging in pre-dawn hours when he was struck by a car pulling out of McDuffee Street.
