Hope on Haven Hill adds van service for pregnant women in substance recovery

By Kyle Stucker – Hope on Haven Hill has created its own transportation service to overcome one of the biggest barriers for people on the road to recovery, according to the nonprofit’s co-founder.

Kerry Norton, HHH’s co-founder and executive director, said the new van and certified driver will come in especially handy for the many women who continue to participate in comprehensive addiction treatment services, family therapy, parenting classes and more even after they’ve transitioned out of living at HHH.

“It has always been an issue,” Norton said in a release Tuesday night. “Our most vulnerable clients need to have safe transportation to their appointments and shouldn’t miss them just because they can’t find a ride”Continue reading at fosters.com
