Rochester Fair is on for September with new name, renewed focus on its agricultural roots

The long story of the Rochester Fair will continue this fall, but some changes are in the works.

The fair is expanding, beginning with a name change, said E.J. Dean, executive director of the newly branded Granite State Fair.

“We are so excited to be back, to be out of COVID,” said Dean. The 2020 fair was canceled because of the pandemic.

The fair will take place at the Lafayette Road fairgrounds during two September weekends, each Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 16-19, and 23-26.
