Rochester farmhouse sells for $2.1M, but Strafford County housing market a different story

A single-family home on 53 acres in Rochester sold for $2.1 million, one of the highest priced properties in Strafford County to change owners in August.

The listing touted the property as “a little piece of heaven,” describing how the contemporary farmhouse sits on a hilltop overlooking the private estate, and brings the outside indoors with “high ceilings and grand views from oversized windows in every room.”

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,872-square-foot home at 141 Dry Hill Road could be one of the most expensive single-family home sales in Rochester’s history, according to Karen Mairs, president of the Strafford County Board of Realtors.
