Rochester officer skating in Battle of Badges to help Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth

Police Sgt. Jacob Benjamin will take to the ice for the fifth year for the Battle of the Badges hockey challenge, a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in March.

Benjamin said he does it because he loves to skate representing the Rochester Police Department and he believes in the CHaD mission: helping children.

“I have been skating since I was 3 years old,” Benjamin said. “I grew up loving hockey. Our department is dedicated to community service and outreach, and for me this is one great way to do it. It’s a perfect marriage between a good cause and something I love to do.”
