Rochester Salvation Army bell ringer faces challenging 2020

Wearing a mask and a red apron over a bulky maroon coat, Kim Haigh is hoping to get the attention of grocery shoppers as they enter Market Basket.

Haigh has been a Salvation Army bell ringer for more than 30 years. A middle-aged man and his family approach, saying, “Hi Kim, we only get to see you once a year when you are doing this.” He drops a bill through the slot on the red bucket and they go inside to do their shopping.
