Shanna Saunders works to make Rochester’s 2030 vision reality

Having assumed her role in late summer, Shanna Saunders, Rochester’s new director of planning and development, is still making adjustments not only to her new work environment with less-than-desirable restrictions imposed by COVID-19.

“I think we are slowly getting back to normal. City Hall is open again, so folks can come talk across the counter with me. It’s with masks on so it’s a lot less personable,” she said. “It just seems just a step removed from that getting-to-know-you process.
