What’s next at The Ridge in Rochester: Dining, housing, a theater in the works

Developers of The Ridge shopping plaza are gearing up to begin phase 2 of the project. The expansion is now expected to include three restaurants and the possible addition of market-rate housing and a theater.

The large parcel at 92 Farmington Road is being developed by Waterstone Properties, of Needham, Massachusetts.

According to Rochester Economic Development Director Mike Scala, the total property is 53.51 acres, with phase 1, the developed portion where the shopping plaza is located, being 27.24 acres. The remaining land for phase 2 is 26.27 acres. That site is currently empty.
