Library hosts drive-thru Santa meet and greet

Published on

The Rochester Public Library recently hosted a drive-thru Santa event for children of all ages.

“During the pandemic, we’ve found creative ways to reach our patrons,” said Christina Paquette, Rochester Public Library. “Curbside pick-up and Story Times To-Go provide children with books, but programming has been a challenge! Our annual Santa visit is always popular and we didn’t want our families to miss the chance to visit with Santa this year.”

Jeffery Bisson, a board member for the Rochester Main Street organization, dons the red suit every year in order to bring holiday cheer to the community.

“Children chatted to Santa through car windows and handed off their letters,” Paquette continued.

The library has continued to offer unique, safe programming throughout the pandemic. Visit the library’s website or social media pages to learn more.
