Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is requesting project proposals for FY24

Published on

The City of Rochester’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is requesting potential projects for FY 2024 (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024) funding consideration.

The program aims to assist low and moderate-income residents through funding public services, economic development initiatives, low-income housing rehabilitation, and public facilities projects. The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

According to Community Development Coordinator Kiersten Wright, the City is particularly interested in projects that serve homeless residents, projects that provide economic or recreational services to lower-income youth, and projects that construct or rehabilitate neighborhood sidewalks. (Please note that simple repairs or maintenance of public infrastructure is ineligible for CBDG funding.)

If you are in doubt about the eligibility of your proposed project, please contact Wright at (603) 335-7519 or kiersten.wright@rochesternh.gov to receive a pre-application eligibility determination.

The application form is available on this page. Completed project proposals are due by November 18th, 2022.
