Rochester Veterans Council to host a Memorial Day Parade on 5/29

The Rochester Veterans Council is planning to host a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, 2023.

According to a social media event, the Parade will start at Holy Rosary Church on North Main Street at 9:30 am. Participants will make their way to the Cocheco River Bridge for a brief stop to conduct the Wreath Memorial Service. Following the service, the Parade will continue down North Main Street, through the downtown corridor to South Main Street, and conclude at the Rochester Common in time for ceremonies at the annual Field of Honor event, hosted by Vouchers For Veterans.

Details are subject to change as the Parade is still in the early planning stages. Visit www.facebook.com/RMDP23 to stay up-to-date.

For anyone looking to participate in the Parade, there is no entry fee. However, all entrants must submit an application to be included in the lineup. If you are interested in participating, email rochestermemorialdayparade@gmail.com.
