City Clerk Assures Access to Voting Following Traffic Incident Near Ward 5 Polling Location

Published on

A motor vehicle accident on Wakefield Street has led to increased traffic delays for voters attempting to reach the Ward 5 polling location at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center. The City Clerk assures that any voters impacted will still have the opportunity to cast their ballots.

Any voter in line by the 7:00 p.m. closing time will be permitted to vote as usual. Additionally, the City Clerk confirms that voters who arrive after 7:00 p.m. will also be allowed to vote until 7:30 p.m. Any ballots cast during extended hours will be petitioned to the State of New Hampshire Secretary of State.

“Despite the circumstances, we encourage all eligible voters to participate and we will stay open,” stated the City Clerk. “Everyone in line before 7:30 p.m. will have the chance to vote.”

For general inquiries, contact the Rochester City Clerk’s Office at (603) 332-2130.
