City of Rochester Announces Changes to City Chat Program Schedule and Locations, No November Meeting

Published on

The City of Rochester is pleased to announce updates to the City Chat program, an informal gathering where residents, business owners, and community members have the opportunity to meet with city officials and engage in open dialogue.

Effective immediately, City Chat will shift from a monthly format to a quarterly schedule, with a range of times and locations to accommodate various working schedules.

City Chat meetings have been previously held on the first Friday of each month in the Community Room at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center. The new format will rotate these meetings across various municipal locations, such as the Public Library, City Hall, Public Works Department, etc. This change is designed to make the meetings more accessible to a broader segment of the community.

City Chat is hosted by the Public Information Manager in collaboration with the Mayor and City Council, with the goal of encouraging residents, businesses, organizations, and volunteer groups to come together, introduce themselves, ask questions, and share updates on local efforts around Rochester. City staff is also encouraged to attend to engage in informal conversations about updates and developments impacting the community.

No RSVP is required to attend City Chat meetings. The new schedule will be posted on the city’s website and social media channels in the coming weeks.
