The City of Rochester is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Community Outreach Facilitator to work in close collaboration with community and regional service providers to build strong, cooperative working relationships.
This vital role will conduct public outreach within the community, including regular visits to designated locations, to interact with and navigate receptive Rochester residents who are primarily unhoused and/or housing insecure due to experiencing mental health difficulties, including substance use disorders, toward available and appropriate provider services.
Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for reaching high-risk unhoused and/or housing-insecure residents referred by the welfare department and/or the police department.
Special Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate Degree from an accredited college preferred
- Four (4) years of social/human services experience required
- Two (2) years of Community Outreach Coordination experience required
- Valid driver’s license required

- Non-Union Grade 9
- Pay range: $54,766 to $73,736, commensurate with qualifications and experience
