Clear Choice MD urgent care to replace former Friendly’s restaurant

Clear Choice MD urgent care will be opening a new location at 77 South Main Street, in the former Friendly’s restaurant.

Shanna B. Saunders, Rochester’s director of Planning and Development, reports that the business application has been accepted and a letter of approval has been sent.

According to Saunders, the building’s interior will be renovated to suit the need of the facility. The exterior will also receive a facelift, including new light fixtures, doors and windows, rain gutters, and paint. All design characteristics of the former Friendly’s restaurant, such as the coupla and awnings, will be removed. The window dormers will also be removed.

New signage and landscaping are expected.

ClearChoiceMD centers are equipped to treat all urgent non-life-threatening medical needs. The center will be open seven days a week, operate on a walk-in basis, and most of their patients are registered, treated, and discharged in less than an hour, according to their website.
