Fatal Collision: Motorcyclist Dies in Accident with SUV on Old Dover Road

On Saturday, July 20th, around 9:30 am, Rochester Police, Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to the intersection of Old Dover Road and Tebbetts Road for the report of a serious motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

Emergency personnel arrived and noticed a heavily damaged motorcycle, a 2006 Yamaha V Star, on the ground with the seriously injured driver next to it. Also in the roadway was a 2024 Hyundai Tucson.

The intersection was immediately shut down and traffic was diverted while emergency crews tended to the scene.

The driver of the motorcycle, Kenneth Meyers, 52, of Rochester, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the Tucson, Suzanne Pina, 73, of Rochester, was not injured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the Strafford County Technical Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to assist with the accident investigation. That area of the road was shut down for about 5 hours and reopened just before 2:30 pm.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
