On Monday, July 14, 2025, at the annual State of the State forum, Governor Kelly Ayotte presented a special commendation to Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Laura Ring to celebrate her upcoming retirement, recognizing 36 years of dedicated service.
WHEREAS, Laura Ring has served with distinction for 36 years as President and CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, joining the Chamber in 1990 and leading it with strength, vision, and dedication; and,
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure, Laura has been a champion for economic development, working tirelessly to support local businesses, strengthen workforce opportunities, and foster a vibrant and thriving community in Rochester and the surrounding region; and,
WHEREAS, under Laura’s exceptional leadership, the Chamber has expanded its membership, enhanced its programming, and become a vital force for advocacy and partnership across both the public and private sectors; and,
WHEREAS, Laura’s influence extends beyond the City of Rochester, having served on numerous state and regional boards, contributed to key economic initiatives, and collaborated with civic and nonprofit organizations to advance the prosperity of New Hampshire as a whole; and,
WHEREAS, Laura Ring’s retirement marks the conclusion of a remarkable career defined by integrity, innovation, and a commitment to service;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, KELLY AYOTTE, GOVERNOR of the State of New Hampshire, do hereby commend LAURA RING for her exemplary leadership and years of devoted service, and extend on behalf of the people of New Hampshire our deepest gratitude and best wishes for a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.
