Mamma Mania, BoStyx, and A Christmas Carol Bring Holiday Cheer to the Rochester Opera House

Published on

The year is almost over, but there’s still so much to see at the Rochester Opera House!

On Friday, November 21, it’s Mamma Mania time—New York City’s premier ABBA tribute band! How can we resist ya? Not only will we experience the magic of one of pop music’s most legendary bands, but the performers of Mamma Mania include members of The North American Tour of Mamma Mia, Marc Martel’s Queen Extravaganza, INXS, Britney Spears, Rob Thomas, The Weeknd, and more! Come dance and sing along with these incredible performers Friday, November 21 at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00!

The next evening, Saturday, November 22, it’s Boston and Styx in one—it’s BoStyx! One of New Hampshire’s favorite tribute bands, made up of six wildly talented musicians, is making their way back to the Granite State. BoStyx has performed all over the country, bringing crowds to their feet. It’s More Than a Feeling—it’s a night you won’t want to miss. Get your tickets for Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m.

And finally… after a whole year of waiting, one of Rochester’s favorite traditions returns! Running from December 12 through 23, it’s Radio City’s stunning production of A Christmas Carol, featuring timeless music by the legendary Alan Menken.

Directed, choreographed, and music directed by the iconic trio Jenry Towle, Brad Reinking, and Samuel Tolley, this show will have you counting down the hours until Christmas morning. This year, the role of Scrooge will be played by Rochester Opera House veteran Dan Kelly, previously seen as “Grimsby” this summer in The Little Mermaid. Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year by getting tickets to this all-out celebration of a classic holiday masterpiece.

Need something else to fill your calendar? There are still tickets available for a Rochester favorite—comedian Bob Marley! Rush over to our box office before tickets sell out!

And don’t forget about $10tkts! Head over to our store, Stage Door Tickets and More, to take advantage of this great opportunity sponsored by Holy Rosary Credit Union. With the purchase of one full-price ticket, you’ll be able to buy two youth tickets for $10 each. Big family eager to enjoy some holiday fun? No problem! $10tkts are available for in-person sales at both the historic box office in the City Hall lobby and at Stage Door Tickets and More at 1 Wakefield Street in Rochester.

Stay tuned for everything happening here at the Rochester Opera House! What’s coming to the stage in the new year? You’ll have to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to find out!
