Rochester Public Library Teen Room – May Events

The Rochester Public Library Teen Room invites teens aged 12–18 to enjoy a variety of events and activities throughout the month of May.

Drop-in Maker Mondays
Mondays, 2:30–4:00 p.m.

  • May 19: Paper Lanterns

Special Programs

  • Monday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m.Planting Program (Teen Room – registration required)

  • Tuesday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.Finance Program with Service Credit Union (Community Room)

  • Monday, May 12 at 5:00 p.m.Movie: The Outsiders (Community Room)

  • Wednesday, May 14 at 12:00 p.m.Early Release Activity: Sensory Bottles

  • Monday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m.Book Group: Banned Book Discussion

Book Boxes

Book Boxes are now available in the Teen Room! Fill out a form (available at rpl.lib.nh.us/teens) to receive two or more books along with a few small gifts. Teens return the books and keep the gifts!

Drop-In Fun

Teens are welcome to stop by anytime to:

  • Use the makerspace

  • Play games

  • Solve scavenger hunts

  • Check out books or Playaways

“These teen programs are part of the library’s ongoing efforts to engage teens, foster learning, and provide a welcoming space for information, studying, socializing, and reading,” said Amy Lemelin, Teen Librarian. “The Teen Room is always evolving with our teens’ needs in mind.”
