The Rochester Public Library is expanding its services with the all-new “Library of Things”, a collection that allows patrons to borrow more than just books, magazines, and movies.
According to Library Director Marie Lejuene, the new collection is a “great way to try things out without having to buy them yourself.”
“Most of us have bought things for a specific use, or because we are convinced we’ll use them a lot, only to end up with them sitting in the basement collecting dust,” said Lejeune. “The Library of Things saves you money and storage space!”
The list of “Things” offered will expand, based on community interest and feedback. Items from this collection will circulate for 1 week and be eligible for 1 renewal as long as there are no holds.
