NH 911 advises motorists to take it slow on the roads, stay home if you can

Published on

From New Hampshire 911:

Many are waking up to varying amounts of snow across New Hampshire as we gear up for a long-duration winter storm.

Travel is expected to be difficult today, and we remind you that home is the safest place to be during a snowstorm. If you must leave the house, plow crews will be out and about, working hard to clear the roadways. Please be sure to clear all snow from your vehicle and give yourself extra time to reach your destination safely.

Heavy, wet snow, combined with gusty winds could lead to downed lines and power outages. If you come across downed lines, stay away and call 911.

As always, our telecommunicators will be working around the clock, locating, communicating, and connecting people in New Hampshire with the help they need in an emergency.

If you need help, call if you can, text if you can’t!
