Pavement Milling and Overlaying of North Main Street Scheduled for October 7-8

The Department of Public Works is pleased to announce pavement milling and overlaying of North Main Street is scheduled for Monday, October 7, and Tuesday, October 8, 2024, weather permitting.

North Atlantic Excavation will be performing the work, affecting North Main Street between Union Street and Wakefield Street. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place, including a lane closure around the work zone and a lane shift to allow through traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and seek alternative routes when possible.
