Rochester Police Respond to Potential School Threat, Not Considered Credible

On the evening of Tuesday, September 17, the Rochester Police Department received a report of a potential threat directed at a local school. At this time, authorities do not believe the threat is credible.

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence in and around schools to ensure the security of students and staff. The Rochester Police Department will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with school officials.
