Public Works to conduct smoke testing near Wakefield Street, Hanson Street, Museum Way on 6/20

The Utilities Division for the Department of Public Works will be conducting smoke testing of sewers in the area of Wakefield Street, Hanson Street, and Museum Way on Thursday, June 20, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

You may see a white, nontoxic, non-staining fog from rooftop vents and ground holes, which will dissipate in a few minutes. This testing helps identify breaks and defects in the sewer system.

If you notice the fog in your building, call Pubic Works for an inspection, as it may indicate a potential entry point for dangerous sewer gases.

For questions or concerns, please call Public Works at (603) 332-4096.
