Reminder: City Clerk’s Office Now Loacated In James W. Foley Memorial Community Center

Published on

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the Rochester City Clerk’s Office officially moved from its location in City Hall to the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, 150 Wakefield Street.

The Clerk’s Office had been located in City Hall since the building first opened to the public in 1908. However, City Clerk Kelly Walters says the change is essential to better serve a growing community.

“This relocation enables us to offer improved facilities, greater accessibility, and the convenience of bringing multiple municipal services into one building,” Walters said. “Sharing the building with the Tax Collector and Auto Registration Offices will make it easier for residents to access essential services in one location.”

The City Clerk’s Office plays a vital role in city operations, responsible for safeguarding important records, supporting the City Council and staff, and administering free and fair elections. The new office at the Community Center includes a larger waiting area, additional service windows, and expanded storage for vital records, including historic and permanent documents.

For more details, contact the City Clerk’s Office at (603) 332-2130 or visit www.rochesternh.gov/city-clerks-office. The James W. Foley Memorial Community Center is located at 150 Wakefield Street, behind Spaulding High School.
