The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts (RMFA) is pleased to announce Off The Wall, an art podcast hosted by RMFA co-founders Matt Wyatt and Amy Regan.
Off The Wall is a semi-regular series where Matt and Amy chat with a wide variety of visual artists, digging into the nuts and bolts of their creative process to reveal more about the layers of meaning, emotion, and intent behind their work.
According to Regan, the purpose of the podcast is to advertise upcoming art exhibitions in RMFA galleries. The premier episode features Hannah Hirsch, who is currently exhibiting a series of original works in the Carnegie Gallery at the Rochester Public Library.
“We want to do more to promote our collection and exhibits in the Carnegie Gallery, Bernier Room, and The Pixel Room,” said Regan. “Off The Wall gives us the chance to talk about art, tell people what’s coming up, and let artists speak for themselves.”
Wyatt and Regan share a passion and dedication for promoting the arts, which has led them to acquire more than 200 donated pieces of art, curate hundreds of gallery exhibitions, and coordinate more than a dozen public art installations. Their work has been recognized by numerous news outlets and arts organizations, including the American Art Awards, the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts, and the New Hampshire Review’s Best of Business (BOB) Awards for “Most Ingenious Promoters of Art”.
Off The Wall is available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple and Spotify. Visit www.rochestermfa.org to learn more.
