The Rochester Public Library’s Teen Room is excited to announce the success of its 2025 Teen Winter Reading Program.
“This is the first time we have offered a Winter Reading program, and it was well received. Participants collectively read over 110,000 minutes,” said Teen Librarian Amy Lemelin.
Teens also enjoyed a range of winter activities, including movies, needle felting, 3D pens, paper circuits, crochet, vision boards, junk journals, and a Stranger Things party. Readers who logged 120 minutes each week earned raffle tickets for a chance to win one of nine prize baskets, made possible by generous donations from local businesses.
The next program kicks off on Monday, June 16. The Children’s Room party starts at 2:30 PM, and the Teen kickoff begins at 5:00 PM, with activities and refreshments. The Summer Reading Program is open to all ages through Beanstack: https://rplnhreads.beanstack.org/.
