Rochester Public Library to host Mindfulness for Moms on 4/26

Published on

Self-care while mothering can be challenging. Whether you’re a new mom or a mom of grown children, motherhood can zap energy, mood, and health just as it adds joy, love, and memories. Balancing both sides is a full life’s work.

Join Brenda Jones (M. Ed. CYI, CRQTC) fellow mother exploring simple self-care practices you can incorporate into your day and share with family. Brenda works for Balanced Living Arts, a group dedicated to blending practices from yoga, qigong, and mindfulness to assist in optimizing overall health and resiliency. The session will include elements of all these traditions and will end with a deep guided relaxation.

The session will be held on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 pm, in the Community Room, at the Rochester Public Library. Participants are encouraged to register and bring a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket if they can.

Moms of all ages are welcome. Organizers say to plan ahead for childcare because the session is for moms only. To register, call (603) 332-1428 ext. 2 or visit the Main Desk.
