Rochester Public Library to hosts presentation on New England’s First Serial Killer: The Northwood Murder

Published on

The Rochester Public Library invites the community to attend a presentation hosted by renowned historian Christopher Daley, on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:00 pm, as he delves into the chilling story of Franklin Evans, New England’s first serial killer.

This presentation will explore Evans’ life of crime through a fascinating array of period and modern photographs, maps, and newspaper accounts. Daley brings over 30 years of experience presenting historical topics at libraries, historical societies, schools, and organizations throughout New England. He has also presented virtually across the United States over the past two years.

Christopher Daley is a published author of “Murder and Mayhem in Boston: Historic Crimes in the Hub,” and has appeared on the Travel Channel’s “Time Traveling with Brian Unger” and “Kindred Spirits.” His extensive work as a historian makes him the perfect guide to this dark chapter in New England’s history.

No registration is required for this free event; all are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Abby Rosselli, Programming Librarian, at (603) 335-7550 or rpl.info@rochesternh.gov.
