Senior Activity Center to host Veteran’s Time on 7/11, open to all Veterans

Rochester Rec & Arena is pleased to announce ‘Veteran’s Time’ on July 11, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the Rochester Senior Activity Center.

The mission of this event is to provide invaluable support to Veterans by facilitating their registration with Veterans Affairs (VA) and offering re-evaluations and appointment scheduling for benefits. Open to all Veterans, the event includes representatives from the VA, offering an opportunity to connect directly with veterans in need of services.

“We believe it is essential for Veterans to have easy access to the support they deserve,” said Jerry Vermette, Veterans’ Time volunteer. “YOU have to apply to get anything, so get registered!”

The event is offered free of charge. Registration is required. Participants must bring proof of service, such as their DD214 form with an honorable discharge and dates of service. Call (603) 332-4120 or visit rec.rochesternh.gov for more information.

Visit the Senior Activity Center any prior Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to obtain further information. The Senior Activity Center is located at 150 Wakefield Street, in Suite 10 of the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center.
