Spaulding High School Football Team to Participate in NH Tackles Hunger Food Drive

Published on

Rochester Superintendent Kyle Repucci and Athletic Director Kevin Hebert are pleased to announce that the Spaulding High School football team will be participating in the New Hampshire Tackles Hunger food drive.

On Friday, Sept. 23, at 6:30 p.m., the Spaulding High School football team will play Dover High School at Hugo Bolin Field, 130 Wakefield St.

In lieu of game admission, Spaulding High School will be collecting canned food items for the NH Tackles Hunger food drive. At least two canned food items per person will be required for admission. Items will be collected at the stadium ticket gates.

All collected items will be donated to Gerry’s Food Pantry, which assists area residents with basic emergency needs.

“Dover is a traditional rival for Rochester schools that always brings a large fan base, and we invite all fans to participate in this worthy cause,” said Superintendent Repucci. “This program is a great way to participate in and come together as a community to donate to a cause that can help a lot of people.”

“I am very proud of our students for participating in this initiative and I hope everyone will take the time to donate,” said Athletic Director Hebert. “We have had great success with this program. I encourage everyone to come support the Red Raiders and donate to this cause.”

Community members may contact the Athletics Director’s office at 603-332-0757, ext. 2135 with any questions. For more information on Gerry’s Food Pantry and how to donate online, click here.

The canned goods drive is organized by WMUR and the New Hampshire Food Bank with sports teams across the state.
