The Rochester Public Library Teen Room invites teens aged 12-18 to participate in a variety of events and activities throughout February. These programs are designed to foster learning, creativity, and community in a welcoming space tailored to teens’ needs.
Upcoming Events and Activities:
- Mondays, 2:30–4:00 PM – Drop-in Maker Mondays
Explore fun activities like crafting paper beads, designing paper airplanes, and using 3D pens. - Wednesday, February 5, Noon – Early Release Activity
Build structures with gumdrops and toothpicks. - Saturday, February 8, 10:00 AM – Beginner D&D Program
Learn to play Dungeons & Dragons. (Sign-up required.) - Monday, February 10, 6:00–7:00 PM – Alternative Valentine’s Party
Enjoy cookie decorating and music in a relaxed setting. - Tuesday, February 18, 6:00 PM – Beginner Crochet
Learn the basics of crochet. (Sign-up required.) - Monday, February 24, 6:00 PM – Book Group: Comfort Reads
Share favorite books and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies. - Wednesday, February 26 – Friday, February 28, 1:00–3:30 PM – Babysitting Class
Gain essential skills in this 4-H-led babysitting class. (Sign-up required.)
Teens are also welcome to drop by anytime to explore the makerspace, play games, solve scavenger hunts, or check out books and Playaway audiobooks.
