Are you passionate about aviation, youth leadership, or community service? If so, the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) invites you to join an informative session on Wednesday, February 7, at 6:30 pm in the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, located at 150 Wakefield Street.
The CAP, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, welcomes individuals aged 12 to 18 seeking a challenge and a chance to explore their interests. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the experiences of CAP cadets, gaining insights into the diverse range of activities and opportunities available within the organization.
Highlights of the event include:
- Introduction to CAP: Discover the mission and values of the Civil Air Patrol.
- Meet and Greet: Interact with current CAP members and hear about their unique cadet experiences.
- Opportunities Galore: Learn about cadet training, leadership development, orientation flying, summer activities, academic scholarships, and more.
Parents are also encouraged to attend. Adult leaders will be available to answer questions and provide information regarding opportunities for youth as well as for adults within the CAP.
Organizers believe in fostering the next generation of leaders through aviation, leadership, and service, stating “This event is a fantastic opportunity for young individuals and their parents to explore the enriching experiences CAP has to offer.”
