Vouchers for Veterans Returns to Farmers Markets This September 2025

Published on

Rochester-based Vouchers for Veterans is proud to announce its return to local farmers markets and farm stands this September, honoring Veterans and active duty service members by providing $20 in vouchers each week to spend directly with local farmers and food producers.

Throughout the month of September, Veterans and active duty service members living in New Hampshire and Maine can visit participating farmers markets to receive vouchers, which can be redeemed for fresh, local food and agricultural products. The program not only supports those who have served our nation, but also strengthens local agriculture by ensuring farmers and producers receive the full face value of every voucher redeemed.

This September, Vouchers for Veterans will be at the following locations:

New Hampshire Farmers Markets:

  • Dover Farmers Market: Wednesdays, 3:30 PM–6:30 PM
  • Rochester Common Voucher Pick-up*: Tuesdays, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
  • Exeter Farmers Market: Thursdays, 2:30 PM–5:30 PM
  • Wolfeboro Farmers Market: Thursdays, 12:00 PM–3:30 PM
  • Portsmouth Farmers Market: Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Littleton Farmers Market: Sundays, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
  • Salem NH Farmers Market: Sundays, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
  • Candia Farmers Market (one date only): Saturday, September 20, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

*Rochester Common Voucher Pick-up is not a farmers market. It is a designated location where local Veterans can pick up vouchers to be used at participating locations, including farm stands.

Maine Farmers Markets:

  • Kennebunk Farmers Market: Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Sanford Farmers Market: Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Kittery Community Market: Sundays, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Participating Farms:

  • McKenzie’s Farm — Milton, NH
  • Sanborn Hope Farm — Rochester, NH

*Vouchers cannot be picked up at farms, only redeemed.

“We are honored to bring this program back each September as a way to give back to those who have given so much,” said Morgan Morani, Executive Director at Vouchers for Veterans. “Our program is truly a circle of love. Veterans and active duty members receive fresh, healthy food and the opportunity to connect with their communities, while local farmers and food producers benefit from an additional and meaningful income stream,” said the organization’s Board President and Founder, Jeanne Grover.

To receive vouchers, Veterans and active duty service members must present proof of service and residency at any participating market’s Vouchers for Veterans table during September.
