On August 12, 2020 at about 1:13pm, Rochester Police, Rochester Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to the area of 84 Wakefield Street for a reported single motor vehicle into a pole.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Chevy Malibu driven by Michelle Fredette-Chatman, 34 years old of Rochester, NH, was traveling northbound on Wakefield Street when she veered across the southbound lane striking two poles that were side by side.

The detour northbound on Wakefield Street will be right onto Linscott Ct, then left onto Columbus Ave back out to Wakefield St. The detour southbound Wakefield Street is left onto Columbus Ave. This is expected for the next several hours through the evening hours.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone that may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Officer Porfido at 603-330-7128.
