WATCH: Public Works holds informational meeting regarding major water project in Rt. 202A corridor

On January 25, the Department of Public Works held an informational meeting for potential water customers regarding a major water project that will make municipal water available to the Rt. 202A corridor.

According to Director of City Services Peter C. Nourse, municipal water will be brought from Washington St. through the Highfield Common development, down Bickford Rd. and to Rt. 202A where it will head west along Rt. 202A, terminating in the Crown Point Rd. area. Residents on Bickford Rd., along Rt. 202A, in Winkley Farms, and on Fiddlehead Ln. will have the opportunity to tie into municipal water. Residents in the MTBE program in the Crown Point Rd. area will also be able to tie in.
