Winter Festival planned for the Rochester Common on 1/21

Published on

The Rochester Recreation Department, in partnership with the Police Department, is pleased to announce a Winter Festival, at the Rochester Common, on Saturday, January 21, starting at 3pm.

According to organizers, the free event boasts fun for the whole family. There will be s’mores, hot cocoa, touch-a-truck, and a movie presented by Guyer Travel at 4pm.

Organizers are hoping for clear, cold weather so the outdoor ice rink can be utilized. Since the rink is weather dependant, check the Rec’s website on the day of the event to see if it’ll be open.

The event is made possible through a collaboration with the Commons Church, which will be providing volunteers and collecting donations for Be the Village Foster Care Program. Donations are not required for entry, but if you would like to contribute, the most helpful donations are gift cards to Walmart, Market Basket, and Irving.
