Sergeant Benjamin to participate in Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship

Published on

The Rochester Police Department encourages the public to support the 15th annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship benefitting Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). The location of the game is the SNHU Arena in Manchester, NH on March 18th, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

The annual game brings firefighters, police officers, and first responders from across the state of New Hampshire together for one incredible competition on and off the ice! Team Police, presented by Metro Walls and Team Fire, presented by Service Credit Union, will battle it out for the trophy and in fundraising for the kids and families of Dartmouth Health Children’s.

Rochester Police Detective Sergeant Jacob Benjamin will be skating for Team Police and will be taking the ice for his sixth year in a row! Each year a skater in the Battle of the Badges is paired with a “buddy”, a child who has been helped by CHaD. This year Sergeant Benjamin will be skating for Blake. It will be Sergeant Benjamin’s third year skating for Blake.

Tickets to attend the game can be purchased online at CHaDHockey.org. Tickets are $15 for ages 6+ (children under 5 are free). Tickets purchased the day of the game will be $20 (children 5 and under are free)
