2020 Fair Cancelled due to COVID-19

Published on

The Rochester Fair Association has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Rochester Fair, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

“It is with great reluctance that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Rochester Fair, which had been scheduled for September 17th to the 27th.

We held out hope that the Covid-19 pandemic would somehow be under control enough in the fall but unfortunately, that will not be the case. The Board of Directors considered many options including going back to our roots to put on a two or three-day agricultural only event that would showcase local dairy and farm operations, horse, oxen, and tractor pulling, a pig chase, new and antique tractors, and farm equipment, etc. The consensus is the welfare of the staff, volunteers, vendors, and the public is paramount.

The Fair Association states on their website that the fair will return September 16-26, 2021. Visit www.rochesterfair.com for the latest updates.
