The Department of Revenue Administration (DRA) has set the City’s 2025 tax rate at $15.30, an increase of $0.45 over the 2024 tax rate of $14.85. The estimated 2025 tax rate in the FY26 adopted budget was $15.24. Several adjustments were made by DRA to City, County, and Local School revenues and expenses that contributed to the variance between the budgetary estimate and the DRA’s actual amount. The primary change was that County tax effort was $450,000 higher than the adopted estimate.
The tax effort categories are as follows:
- City: $4.45
- County: $1.77
- School Local: $7.98
- School State: $1.10
- Total: $15.30
Net assessed valuation: $5.185 billion.
The impact of the $0.45 increase on residential median values is as follows:
- Single-family homes: Median value $377,000; increase $169.65.
- Condominiums: Median value $244,000; increase $109.80.
- Manufactured home (double-wide): Median value $222,000; increase $99.90.
- Manufactured home (single-wide): Median value $117,000; increase $52.65.
