City Hall and Public Library open for cooling during high temps, Public Pool schedules available daily

With high temperatures forecasted for the next several days, the City of Rochester is encouraging residents to utilize the Public Library and City Hall for cooling, during regular business hours.

Public pools will also be open. Due to an ongoing lifeguard shortage, hours of operation are adjusted daily. The Recreation Department is reminding swimmers to check the website for updates to the schedule.

Health officials say that high heat and humidity can lead to serious health problems. To help your body cope with high temperatures, take steps to stay cool, increase your fluid intake, decrease your activities, and wear appropriate clothing.

City Hall is open Monday-Friday 8-5pm, the Public Library is open Monday-Wednesday 9-8pm and Thursday-Friday 9-5pm.
