City of Rochester Issues Reminder About Snow Emergency Parking Rules

The City of Rochester reminds residents about parking regulations during Snow Emergencies.

Snow Emergency parking bans may be declared periodically throughout the winter season. During a Snow Emergency, no on-street parking is allowed for the duration of the ban. Parking will also be restricted in all City parking lots except those listed below:

  • 60 Wakefield Street (NAPA Lot)
  • North Main Lot (106 North Main Street)
  • Liberty Street Lot (14 Liberty Street)
  • Columbus Lot A (324 Columbus Avenue)

These lots are available for parking for the duration of the emergency.

Drivers are asked to remove their vehicles from the designated lots as soon as possible after the parking ban has been lifted.

No vehicles without an exemption permit may be parked on City streets or in designated municipal parking lots during a Snow Emergency. For additional information regarding parking exemption qualifications and permits, contact the Rochester Police Department at (603) 330-7128.

Residents utilizing a parking exemption permit are encouraged to subscribe to the City’s E-Alert system to receive email notifications about winter parking bans. To subscribe, visit www.rochesternh.gov/subscribe and select Urgent Alert Updates and News or Announcement Updates to stay informed about any Snow Emergencies throughout the winter.
