The City of Rochester is currently accepting applications for two full-time positions at the Wastewater Treatment Plant: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and Chief Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
This position involves highly skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the municipal wastewater treatment plant.
Special Requirements:
- New Hampshire Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License
- New England Collection System License (Grade I)
- New Hampshire Grade I Wastewater Laboratory Analyst License
- Valid driver’s license
Chief Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
This position involves administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including directing the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP), as well as technical work in planning, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of municipal wastewater treatment systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in civil or sanitary engineering
- Ten years of experience in wastewater
- Five years of supervisory experience in a public utility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
- NH Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator License, Grade IV
- NEWEA Collection System Operator License, Grade IV
- NEWEA Wastewater Laboratory Analyst License, Grade I
- Valid driver’s license
