City of Rochester Seeks Christmas Tree Donation for Downtown Central Square

Published on

The Department of Public Works is beginning its search for a Christmas tree donation for the annual holiday display in Central Square.

“We always look forward to this event,” said Lisa Clark, Deputy Director of Operations & Administration at the Department of Public Works. “Anyone interested in donating a tree should contact the DPW by October 13, 2025.”

According to Clark, SavATree Service donates the removal of the tree from the property.

The City is seeking a Balsam Fir or Blue Spruce in good condition. The tree must be located within city limits and should be approximately 25 to 40 feet tall. A single trunk with one top (no split tops or trunks) is preferred.

“Location and ease of access will be considered. We try to avoid power lines or fencing that would need to be removed,” Clark added.

Residents with a tree for consideration are encouraged to contact the Department of Public Works at (603) 332-4096.
