City of Rochester Trustees Award $53,000 in Scholarships to Local Students

The City of Rochester’s Trustees of the Trust Funds are pleased to announce the distribution of $53,000 in scholarship awards for 2025.

The funds were awarded to 24 deserving students, including the Spaulding High School Class Valedictorian, in recognition of academic achievement and community involvement.

The scholarships were made possible through various trust and memorial funds established to support Rochester’s youth. This year’s awards are as follows:

  • Beetar/Samia – $800
  • Bennett, Shana – $250
  • Bliss, Phyliss – $450
  • Campbell, Kevin – $800
  • Class of 1905, 50th Reunion – $500
  • Class of 1946, 50th Reunion Memorial Fund – $950
  • Cocheco Valley Sportsmen Association – $1,200
  • Gonic Sportsmen’s Club – $800
  • Goodwin, A. Faye – $21,000
  • Hanson-Daniels, Ruth – $14,000
  • Hussey, Charles Edwin – $400
  • Hussey, Charles L. – $250
  • Manning, Carol Ann and Kathleen Michaud Memorial Trust – $1,000
  • Meader, H. Dwight – $500
  • Mireault, MD, Norman – $1,000
  • Pray, George & Hattie – $250
  • Redlon, Gladys Gilman – $400
  • Roberge, Roland & Lorraine – $1,000
  • Salinger, Leon – $2,800
  • Torr-McMillan, Bessie – $750
  • Bernier Insurance / Arlene Meyer – $2,000
  • Rochester Alumni – $500
  • Varney Scholarship, Sarah L. / Women’s Club – $400
  • Spaulding High School Scholarship (Valedictorian Award) – $200
