City posts several employment opportunities

The City of Rochester has posted several employment opportunities on its website. City Manager Blaine Cox encourages qualified candidates to complete an application and submit a resume.

Deputy Finance Director
The City of Rochester is currently recruiting for a Deputy Finance Director/Deputy Treasurer to provide professional administrative, accounting, and supervisory work with responsibility for the receipt, expenditure, and custody of municipal funds, the borrowing of money, the maintenance of the City’s financial records, audits and bonding. The City is seeking an innovative, decisive leader with a track record of integrity and positive intergovernmental skills with a successful background of service in municipal accounting or a similar level position. Human Resource Manager
The City of Rochester is seeking a creative, team-oriented professional to serve as Human Resource Manager. Located in South-Eastern New Hampshire, Rochester is the sixth-largest city in New Hampshire offering excellent cultural, recreational, and educational amenities. The Human Resources Manager reports to the Deputy City Manager and is a member of the City’s Leadership team. Senior Planner
The dynamic and growing City of Rochester, NH seeks a Senior Planner to perform technical, administrative, and policy-oriented work including professional-level planning functions to administer and coordinate land use boards, programs, and decisions that shape both the short-range and long-range land use of the community. The selected candidate will coordinate across functional areas of the planning process and must be highly knowledgeable about principles, practices, and techniques of planning; related state and federal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations; implementation of zoning and other ordinances; application of land use, design standards, economic development, affordable housing, and/or environmental review, to the planning process.
