COAST Announces New Bus Tracking Mobile App: Passio GO!

Published on

The Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (COAST) is thrilled to announce that our new bus tracking mobile app will officially go live on Tuesday, September 6th.

Passengers can download Passio GO! to their smartphones to view arrival times and bus locations in real-time. This app is free to download from the Google Play or App Store. The current mobile app used for tracking COAST buses, DoubleMap, will no longer track the locations of COAST buses as of September 6th.

With this technology upgrade, Greater Seacoast public transit riders can access Information about individual COAST routes, schedules, and stops. Riders can also set bus arrival alerts and tag favorites, saving time, and reducing wait times at bus stops. Additional alerts for route changes or delays serve to keep all riders informed.

“As was the case with the rollout of our previous bus tracking mobile app, there may be a break-in period for our staff as we integrate the new technology into our day-to-day operations,” remarked Rad Nichols, COAST Executive Director. “We are very excited to move to this new platform and expect that our passengers will be pleased with the new app. The convenience of being able to see how our bus system is operating in real-time on your phone or computer makes a real difference for public transit users.”
