DPW to host Public Information Meeting regarding Portland Street Sidewalk Extension Project on 4/3

Dure to inclement weather, this event has been canceled. A new date and time will be announced.

The City of Rochester DPW will be hosting a public information meeting on Wednesday, April 3 at 7:00 pm regarding the Portland Street Sidewalk Extension Project.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the community of the project scope and enable community members to provide input on design alternatives. A follow-up public meeting would be held later in the year to discuss the various alternatives reviewed, and the recommended design.

The project is jointly sponsored by the City of Rochester and the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NH DOT).  This project is administered under NHDOT’s Transportation Alternatives Program. The proposed scope is to construct new sidewalk facilities along Portland Street from Chamberlain Street to Salmon Falls Road. The intent is to provide a contiguous sidewalk to connect the downtown areas of Rochester and East Rochester.

The Rochester Department of Public Works is located at 209 Chestnut Hill Road.
