Rochester Economic Development Director Michael Scala is pleased to announce “Rochester Business Exchange,” an informal discussion connecting municipal officials and staff, developers, and business owners and managers to share information, exchange ideas, discuss local issues, and strengthen relationships within Rochester’s business community.
The purpose of the meetings is to share updates related to municipal government, ongoing activities and initiatives, and economic development opportunities throughout the City. The meetings will also provide an opportunity for business owners and managers to ask questions, share concerns, and learn more about resources available to support their businesses.
According to Scala, the meetings will be an opportunity to connect the business community with resources and other organizations, including the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Main Street, and other regional and state partners.
“Rochester has a strong and growing business community, and it’s important that we continue to create opportunities for people to connect,” said Scala. “These meetings will give our business community an opportunity to network, share information, and discuss any issues and how the City can assist.”
The meetings will occur quarterly, with the first starting January 11, 2027, at 12 p.m., in the City Hall Annex conference room on the second floor. Light refreshments will be served. Additional meeting dates will be announced in early 2027.
The City Hall Annex is located at 33 Wakefield Street, in downtown Rochester, between City Hall proper and the Rochester Fire Department. Free parking is available on Wakefield Street and in the parking lot behind City Hall.
