Emergency services respond to fatal accident on Salmon Falls Road

At approximately 8:45 pm on November 9th, Rochester Police, Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to Salmon Falls Road, in the area of Ida Circle and Tara Estates, for a serious motor vehicle accident.

It was reported there was a single vehicle involved and a passenger in the vehicle was unresponsive. When emergency personnel arrived, they determined the passenger had died on scene as a result of the injuries sustained during the accident.

That area of Salmon Falls Road was closed and traffic was re-routed for several hours while emergency personnel tended to the scene. There were two other passengers in the vehicle and no other occupants were seriously injured.

The Strafford County Regional Technical Accident Reconstruction Team arrived to assist Rochester Police with the on-scene investigation and the accident remains under investigation at this time.

Names of the occupants of the vehicle are not being released at this time while Police and family notify next of kin and other family members.

According to Rochester Police, more details will follow at a later time.
